How do I freeze my holds?

Going on vacation? Trying to read a book series in order?

You have the option to "freeze" your requests while you are out of town or waiting for the next title in a series. This means that your position on the waitlist for an item is skipped over until you choose to "unfreeze" it.

  1. Log into your account. 
  2. Click on the tab: "Holds"
  3. For the items you wish to freeze, select the checkbox in the column: "Freeze"
  4. Click "Update List".
  5. If any titles you do not wish to change appear on the confirmation screen, click "Cancel".
  6. Otherwise, click "Yes".

Note: Items that are available or already on the holdshelf for you cannot be frozen. All frozen holds are automatically filled after 250 days.
